Choose the correct answer.

Which of the following lists in correct order the 4 stages of a complete metamorphosis?
A. Egg, larva, pupa, adult
B. Egg, pupa, larva, adult
That's Correct!
It's Wrong!

All insects undergo metamorphosis. Complete metamorphosis has 4 stages. After the egg hatches, it is a larva and looks like a worm. The larva eats and grows. Then it goes into a resting stage where it is called a pupa. This can last from a few days to many months. During this time the pupa undergoes a complete body change. Then it becomes an adult.

On the other hand, the larva is what comes out of the egg, so the pupa cannot come before it.
